John Fontana currently resides with his wife, Lena, in Franklin Square, NY, where they are enjoying their new home and 2 beautiful daughters. A native New Yorker, John was born in the Bronx, raised in Little Neck, and lived in various other parts of Queens and Long Island. He graduated from the Quantic School of Business and Technology with an MBA in 2019. A perpetual student of the game John also has certifications from Yale and the University of Michigan in principled negotiation strategies, a certification from the University of London in brand management. and a certification from the University of California in Career Success.
Before John took on formal learning he majored in street smarts. John blends his education from school and the streets he has acquired to offer a unique coaching experience.
His first job was with Jiffy Lube on Long Island, where he started as an entry-level “Courtesy Technician” and worked his way up through several ranks to become first a Store Manager, and then eventually District Manager of a territory consisting of over six Long Island stores, which grossed a cumulative average of $7 million annually under his supervision.
John then went on to work for DRIVE Medical in the field of medical sales and manufacturing to develop his experience in dealer networks and channel-selling management as an Inside Sales Representative. He was then promoted to Co-Director of the Inside Sales Team, a role in which he was able to generate an additional two million dollars in growth. Following this and immediately prior to joining Rosco, John worked for Vehicle Tracking Solutions, where he became a revered consultative sales professional in the GPS, telematics, and vehicle-tracking market.
Looking to take his passion for vehicle technology to new heights, John joined Rosco in 2015 and brought an unprecedented energy, excitement, and passion to the Sales and Management teams. In his first two years at Rosco, John worked as a Northeast Regional Sales Manager, covering a territory that spanned from Maryland to Quebec, with a large presence in New York and the tristate area. In this role, John was responsible for providing all Rosco products to all customer types, including OEMs, dealers, distributors, insurance companies, and fleets in this territory. Through his dedication and passion for vehicle technology, John achieved tremendous growth in the Northeast region, including sales that generated more than seven million dollars in annual revenue, with over two million dollars in growth.
Following this, John was promoted to his current position as Senior National Program Manager of VideoMatics, where his responsibilities now focus on developing the market to sell Rosco’s newest recording device, the Dual-Vision camera, as a connected device through RoscoLive and/or integrated telematics partners like Geotab. John has led this market to unprecedented growth and as such Rosco has expanded its presence in the connected solutions market by hiring a Western Sales Manager for VideoMatics.
John’s customers rely on him and the staff at Rosco to provide expert product application and tailored fleet safety solutions. John has also been integral in providing feedback on the development of Dual-Vision. ™
